"You called me blue? But why? There's nothing blue about me."
Why blue? I’ll tell you why blue. Because blue is strange, blue is bizarre. Blue is the misfit of the entire color spectrum! Have you ever wondered why blue ketchup failed? It’s because our minds can’t connect with it. Blue is inorganic. Blue is alien. Blue is unnatural, as unnatural as the blue genetically engineered blossoms we had at the lab that you, doubt you can remember since you were but a shell, were always so attracted to. Blue is the sky that, when we throw ourselves at it to reach it, still alludes us as it fades into the dark. Blue is a fire so hot even the toughest alloys bend to its angry will. Blue is the color of a distant sorrow that I, even though you always dorned your skeletal smile, could see in your empty eyes. That’s why, when I saw you there, your blue face with your cold blue fingers holding your precious blue flowers, all I could see was blue, and that’s why I called you BLUE.

..snippet of a script still suffering growing pains..
i myself have always been at odds with the color blue, especially when painting, leaning more to the colors you see in the very very background. The puzzle piece just doesn't fit quite right... <3 *huggles mi Nero*
Wonderful contrast between the human figures in the background and the blue subject. You did an amazing job capturing the inorganic nature of that smile! This piece truly represents the essence of blue: cold, detached, inorganic, scientific, impersonal. I love the complexity of blue!
